Of Interest:
There is a plentiful supply of good quality citrus with lemons, oranges, mandarins and tangelos all good value and delicious. Tomatoes are still high but volumes on offer are increasing so we can expect prices to fall over the next few weeks. The cold and wet weather will make some vegetables and herbs firm up in price. Basil is particularly expensive and in short supply. The market is generally better this week as a result of increased supply – broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini are the best buys. Strawberries are now from local supply and are very good quality with excellent flavour. The grape season is fast coming to an end.
