Produce Updates
May 17 (2017)
Of Interest:
Heavy rain is forecast for the end of this week up and down the East Coast. This may cause some shortages on vegetable lines. Cauliflower, Snow peas, Broccoli, lettuce and Tomatoes are still very light at the market which means the prices will remain firm until the supply increases. Fruit supply is good with the exception of some lines – Bananas, rockmelons, strawberries and blueberries are short in supply. Salad leaf, spinach and rocket has increase in supply and the quality has improved, however with the forecast rain this may not last. Herbs may also be affected by the heavy rain.
