Most vegetable lines affected by big heat wave all over the east coast, supply is very short and prices high, no relief until next month very tough going, quality is poor. All fruit lines are stable apart from Mangoes, season nearly done, apples and pears are last seasons and supply is nearly all exhausted. Avocadoes are very short in supply as no fruit arrives in Australia from NZ for about 2-3 weeks over the Xmas break (200,000 trays plus) short supply. WA fruit has finished and new season Shepards from North Qld are about 3 weeks away. New season Apples, pears are also about 3 weeks away. Plums, peaches, nectarines and rockmelons are in good supply now.
Please ensure that at the beginning of the week you get your orders in for specialty produce, as we can’t guarantee supply later in the week.
